FAQ: What is ByBanko?
ByBanko is a web app that makes it fun to explore local businesses, activities, and places in the city. You pick a board, visit the places on it, and scan a QR code when you complete a grid. Once you’ve filled out the entire board, you can, among other things, earn entries for draws and unlock new features in the app. The goal is to make exploring the city more fun and support local businesses.
FAQ: Do I need to download an app?
No. ByBanko is a web app that works directly in your browser. You don’t need to download anything from the App Store or Google Play. You just need to add the ByBanko web app to your home/start screen through the web address:
On iPhone, choose 'Add to Home Screen' in Safari, and on Android, choose 'Add to Home Screen.'

FAQ: Does it cost anything to use ByBanko?
Many boards are free to play, while others may require payment. It will always be clearly stated on each board if there is a price. Any purchases or discounts from companies are not included unless specifically stated.
FAQ: Do I need to create a profile?
Yes. You need to create a profile to play ByBanko. Your profile allows you to save progress, enter raffles, and keep track of your cards and prizes.
FAQ: How do I enter raffles?
There are three types of raffles:
Board raffles, where you earn tickets by completing cards.
Open raffles, which any user with a profile can participate in.
Surprise raffles, which are not shown in the app beforehand, but hints may be given on social media.
FAQ: Can I play the same card multiple times?
Yes. Most cards can be completed multiple times. Any restrictions will be noted on the individual card.
FAQ: How do I know if a card is completed?
When you scan the corresponding QR code, the grid is automatically marked as completed on the board with a checkmark and a green color.
FAQ: Which cities can I play in?
In the webapp, you can always see the cities currently available. New cities are added continuously.
FAQ: Can I win prizes by playing ByBanko?
Some boards have prizes attached, while others do not. You cannot see the exact prizes in advance, but you can see the related draws. There is a limited number of prizes, so you are not guaranteed to win one.
FAQ: What happens if I win a prize?
If you win a prize, you can claim it when your board is full. It will then be saved under 'My Prizes' on your profile.
FAQ: How do I redeem my prize?
Under your profile, you will find 'My Prizes', where you can find your prize voucher. When picking up or redeeming the prize, the voucher must be shown and swiped to mark it as redeemed. Be aware of any expiration dates.
FAQ: Where can I find information about my prize?
Under 'my prizes,' you can click on the specific prize and see where it can be picked up or redeemed, who to contact, as well as any terms and expiry dates.
FAQ: Can I choose something other than a prize?
Yes. In many cases, you can choose an extra ticket for a draw instead of a prize.
FAQ: What should I do if a QR code doesn't work?
Try scanning it again or refreshing the page. If that doesn't help, you can contact support.
